There's a BIG announcement from Queenie and TT, once they get through some talk about softball, pickleball, and body betrayals. They aren't on the same page with TT's Choice, but can see each other's perspective (of course!). And the F*** It List entry pushes back on the over-50 generations' focus on women being "good" and "nice," often at our own expense.
There's lots of laughter, music and maybe too much information...at least in Honey's opinion.

Having to ask a two-year-old. Let's get rolling.
speaker-0 (00:31.938)
Greetings, friend friend and all of our friends out there in Listener Land.
speaker-1 (00:36.478)
for all of our friends in listener land in LL yes yes it's been a busy day already it's been a busy day already I'm ready thing well already it's five o'clock I guess it's not already
speaker-0 (00:43.34)
Huh?
speaker-0 (00:47.244)
What do you do?
speaker-0 (00:50.87)
Yeah, I know. I can't believe the day flew by.
speaker-1 (00:52.748)
Well, we attended one of our granddaughter's tournaments today. Well, that's a great question. And that's a question we probably should have asked before we got in the car and drove away. Because, see, the only information we got was Annie has a tournament at Shen tomorrow. So we're like.
speaker-0 (00:57.228)
Kind of tournament.
speaker-0 (01:12.236)
Right. Cool. She's on she's on the track team and or whatever.
speaker-1 (01:16.172)
This has nothing to do with track. We knew it wasn't track. We it wasn't track. Rule that out because that was earlier this week. and Shen is right around the corner, literally around the corner from us. So we hop in the car and we head over. So we go to the campus because that's Shen.
speaker-0 (01:31.874)
Yep, yeah.
speaker-0 (01:36.12)
Right. Right. Right. If they've got all the different schools there.
speaker-1 (01:39.894)
I think we're going to the soccer fields. So I drive to the soccer fields. There's not a soul there. I said, maybe they're playing at the commons. Tons of soccer fields in the front of the commons. So I said, we'll just, we'll head over that way. So we cut behind the school through campus to get to the back entrance of the commons where Ms. Shen's softball is, baseball's back there. Then you get to the ice rinks.
speaker-0 (01:46.742)
Reasonable assumption to make though.
speaker-1 (02:08.824)
than the soccer fields. up cars all over the place. I'm like, all right, maybe it's a softball tournament. Perhaps we should check to see what sport we should be looking for. So we finally were told it was softball and we were directed to the appropriate field. Yeah, so.
speaker-0 (02:10.517)
All right.
speaker-0 (02:26.432)
boy. Well it just goes to show how involved they are in athletics. They are
speaker-1 (02:32.16)
Indeed, because they both participated in a track meet earlier this week when it was so hot out it was hideous. Oof. But both girls were scorchers on the track. Annie came in first in both of her races, 100 meter and the 200 meter, and AJ came in second place in the 100 meter and first place in the 200 meter.
speaker-0 (02:53.366)
Congratulations Annie and AJ.
speaker-1 (02:55.79)
They're certainly not built like Mima. I mean, they do have long legs. Mima has long legs, but these girls, like, they're these little sticks. They're like running sticks and Annie looks so natural out there. She's got the stride. She's got the arms going. She doesn't have to think about it. That's what cracked me up watching her run. You can just tell she's not even thinking about it. She's on zoom.
speaker-0 (03:11.48)
Sure.
speaker-0 (03:18.392)
Just doing what she loves to do.
speaker-1 (03:23.788)
Well, and it came in handy today at the softball game. She ran out a hit that she should have, anybody else would have been out. Anybody else would have been out. But because she's so fast, she beat. Yeah. And she scored the winning run in that game. So it was.
speaker-0 (03:36.75)
She made it to first. Wow.
speaker-0 (03:42.466)
Wow. Talk about confidence booster.
speaker-1 (03:45.838)
Very exciting game today. Very exciting. These girls were pretty well matched, the two teams. So another game tomorrow at nine. I didn't see any meanness. No, this was, what is this? Eight-U. Eight-U girls or 10-U girls. No, it's eight-U. It's eight-U because they're not pitching yet. The coaches are still pitching and they get six balls. You know, it's a little different, you know, learning the fundamentals. It's a great game.
speaker-0 (03:52.684)
No no meanness going on there.
speaker-0 (04:00.44)
That means
speaker-0 (04:06.178)
Okay.
speaker-0 (04:11.918)
Okay.
speaker-1 (04:14.83)
It was hot. It was hot again today.
speaker-0 (04:16.856)
Well we actually we actually one of the days that was not quite as hot but still like really humid decided to finally play pickleball. It was so much fun and we both need a lot of practice, but it was great. I was sweating so much and I'm like, I look at everybody else. It's dripping, dripping off of me. I was like, why am I the only one sweating like this?
speaker-1 (04:41.526)
I would have been.
speaker-1 (04:46.761)
I'm gonna collapse.
speaker-0 (04:48.47)
And actually we played at the park right up the street from us. And what they've done is they've just drawn pickleball lines on the on tennis court. So the net's a little higher than a pickleball net, I guess. But I can I don't know. It's about the racket's about the same size as, you know, kind of reminded me of racquetball rackets when we used to play way, way fifty years ago. And so but I kept hitting it. It the line is so it's such a short line. You know what I mean? Like
speaker-1 (05:01.934)
really?
speaker-0 (05:18.05)
The ink. It's it's a little court, but I was like
speaker-1 (05:18.454)
You're supposed to
speaker-1 (05:23.32)
slamming it
speaker-0 (05:24.684)
Yeah, smashing it down and so anyway I have to I have to get my I have to Yes, as everything else in life. I need to learn how to control myself. So
speaker-1 (05:29.826)
control.
speaker-1 (05:40.354)
Hour Closet Disco Queen podcast deals with legal adult cannabis use and is intended for entertainment purposes only for those 21 and older.
speaker-0 (05:52.162)
But yeah, it was really fun. And then today we got up. This was on Thursday. And today I said, Let's go hit some some balls. And so we No I w you know, pick pickleballs. What do you want me to say? I don't know. Let's go
speaker-1 (06:07.134)
I don't know, I guess you're going to hit balls. I don't know, that's what people say when you want to go hit golf balls. was like, wow, you really are branching out.
speaker-0 (06:16.482)
to s I have to say I am not up on the pickleball lingo so I don't know. I don't know if that's what it's called. I did learn that if you if you get skunked and you lose eleven to zero, it's called getting pickled. We got a mercy we got a we got a mercy point. Saved us from yes, the humiliation. Yes. Wow but it was really
speaker-1 (06:36.31)
The humiliation of being pickled. It's different thing now, doesn't it?
speaker-0 (06:42.126)
The score is three numbers, not two, honey three. Zero, zero, two, and the two is somehow me. You can only score when serving, which is lovely, isn't it? And you serve on diagonally. Who came up with this? Don't step in the kitchen. That's the no-volley zone.
Unless the ball has bounced there, then the kitchen is your home. And both sides let it bounce before you. Swing away. That's the double bounce rule, darling. Memorize it, there's a quiz today. Two eleven by two, unless it's tournament play. Fifteen, sometimes twenty-one, depending on the day. Switch sides at six or eight, or honestly, who knows?
speaker-1 (07:27.054)
Then it's
speaker-1 (07:37.331)
The rest confi-
speaker-0 (07:37.998)
The crowd's confused and everybody goes What's the score? Nobody knows And that's pickleball
speaker-0 (07:51.552)
Anyway, this morning we got up and I s I said, let's go, you know, volley some And so we we walk outside and I had you know, I usually drink some prunes juice in the morning and then I had a cup of tea and I had this special
speaker-1 (07:56.11)
All around.
speaker-1 (08:07.562)
dear, are we gonna get a running story? Like from runners? What happens to runners? On the pickle boil cord?
speaker-0 (08:14.946)
We never made it to the big old ballport because we were halfway just really off our property and up down the street and I tooted Donnie Stop He said what's the matter? And I said I think I just pooped my pants. I was like, my god, I hope the neighbors aren't listening.
speaker-1 (08:26.775)
No, no,
speaker-1 (08:37.357)
That's your worry? said that? Who said that? Did you say that? I hope they're not listening. That's what she's worried about.
speaker-0 (08:41.366)
I thought it. I thought.
about. So anyway, I was I was having some some lower gastric distress all morning. But I think it was because I used this honey
speaker-1 (08:53.763)
Here's the question people the audience needs to know did you indeed?
speaker-0 (09:00.44)
So No, not really. I would just say it was just a little it was it was a moist
speaker-1 (09:03.854)
Skid. has lumps, that's what you say.
speaker-0 (09:08.6)
Globes. It was there was some moisture and colouring. But anyway Just so you know, it wasn't a big deal.
speaker-1 (09:10.901)
Potential.
It was little teeny shark.
Like you didn't- wasn't rolling down your legs. God.
speaker-0 (09:22.698)
It's happening to me, I'm too young.
speaker-1 (09:25.43)
No, you're- No, I would've said, what? I'm being punished for trying to become active.
speaker-0 (09:31.219)
This is what I get.
speaker-1 (09:33.102)
The guys are telling me. Don't do-
speaker-0 (09:35.816)
Hind from above.
speaker-1 (09:38.862)
Stop immediately! So, that was my morning. happen to the best of us, really. You know, you're a fine line whenever, you know.
speaker-0 (09:41.091)
Yeah.
speaker-0 (09:49.56)
if you're laughing at somebody, yeah, 'cause you just
speaker-1 (09:51.822)
But you're also walking a fine line sometimes between the tootage and the shardage
speaker-0 (09:57.268)
If it's productive or not, yeah.
speaker-1 (09:59.598)
Yeah, so sometimes that's just totally unpredictable. Yeah. I don't think you would have left your home if you thought you were going to be shitting your
speaker-0 (10:09.166)
No, I had you know, lately I I've been ch I've changed my diet and I've had a lot more rough activity.
speaker-1 (10:17.518)
I didn't know that was a thing though with runners until you know I was an adult and when I heard that I was like why would anyone willingly do something that could result in
speaker-0 (10:31.842)
Well, I guess that depends what show under the little tiny shorts, huh?
speaker-1 (10:35.116)
Which is worse? Which is worse? Running down your legs?
speaker-0 (10:37.39)
I mean.
That's occasion. And somehow it's just accepted. It's just a part of it. Yeah.
speaker-1 (10:46.318)
Yes, yes, I guess it's a lot of times when people pee themselves and shit themselves like on stage.
speaker-0 (10:53.228)
Really? Yeah. Well yeah, 'cause what are you gonna do say time out? Same thing with same thing with you know, any sport really.
speaker-1 (10:57.208)
I gotta go.
speaker-1 (11:02.315)
I've never stepped foot on a pickle bowl court.
speaker-0 (11:05.844)
And it's got s a very complex number thing going on, which I don't understand. It's like you have to s like at the beginning of before you serve, you have to say the score. What? Starting starting with the server. So like in tennis, you know, they go love all or whatever, you know, you have to say one, two, and then your number. So like if it's one to two and I went first, then my number is one. But then there's this caveat that
speaker-1 (11:33.998)
Why do you have to say? As you're serving yeah, you're serving one two one yeah Fucking bullshit
speaker-0 (11:36.078)
Just so everybody's
speaker-0 (11:42.22)
Yeah. But it's such the way they do it. But what's confusing is except for the first server. You're number two if you're the first server of the game. And then there's this something might be remembering this very wrong. I mean this might all be incorrect. However, I was confused by the scorekeeping and the calling out the numbers and and yeah, it it was just
speaker-1 (11:49.4)
this
speaker-0 (12:10.87)
It was fun though. It was really, really fun.
speaker-1 (12:13.538)
You're only calling out numbers when you're serving or do you have to call out a number when
speaker-0 (12:17.15)
Whatever serving calls it out.
speaker-1 (12:19.352)
Yeah and what happens if you don't is there a penalty.
speaker-0 (12:23.758)
I don't think so. It's a friendly game. It's like a fundamental Mark kept saying and you have to stand behind the court line, the back line when you serve. But y the other person has to stand back there too and I kept forgetting to step out.
speaker-1 (12:43.392)
You couldn't stand in the vines or whatever.
speaker-0 (12:45.792)
Right. Right. Yeah. You can't stand anywhere on the court. You've got like all
speaker-1 (12:48.846)
Off the are the other people able to be in the court, on the court?
speaker-0 (12:53.664)
Yeah, they're in position. Yeah, 'cause you still have the opposite and then just say. But like in tennis, yeah. So one stays back and one moves up to the front. And they said most of the action occurs in the front, but I was sitting in too far. So anyway and I felt it was only fair that I should go cat get my balls. So I did. That's why I was sweating so much, I think. I did a lot of run.
speaker-1 (13:18.774)
You were wearing your ball harness?
speaker-0 (13:21.11)
I I did not. I told I told them all that next time though. Next time though
speaker-1 (13:24.216)
No.
I think
speaker-0 (13:29.034)
No, the thing is when they had lots of balls.
speaker-1 (13:35.406)
I'm all set. I'm fully loaded and ready to go.
speaker-0 (13:42.294)
Hold on a minute. Let me
speaker-1 (13:44.214)
I just gotta release my harness.
speaker-0 (13:46.414)
Apparently there are people who have carry like fanny packs, like pouches, yeah. Like kangaroo pouches put their balls in there. It's like here, put your balls in the It's a ball.
speaker-1 (13:50.648)
pouches.
speaker-1 (13:59.63)
I've heard that before. It's a ball pouch.
I'm just...
I'll give you 50 bucks. You do that with a straight face.
speaker-0 (14:14.216)
Like the time I went to Home Depot and my peonies were drooping, so I went in and I asked this young man, Where are your peers? Well I said, Do you have any peony rings? Do you have any peony rings? He just looked at me. It may have been his first job, I don't know, but he just he just looked at me and said, What? I said four peonies. The flowers. Do you have any peony rings?
speaker-1 (14:20.148)
You did not.
speaker-0 (14:43.494)
Anyway. He's like, I don't know. Let me go check in. I think it was his first
speaker-1 (15:03.586)
Why a poor thing. Anyway. I don't know, we were just talking about pickleball, but now we're on peeny rings.
speaker-0 (15:05.418)
Anyway, I know. How do we get on there?
speaker-0 (15:13.076)
I know ball balls. That's fine. Bobs. Bobs.
speaker-1 (15:16.604)
It sounds like pretty uptight game.
speaker-0 (15:19.464)
No. Well, it can be fun. I w we were just It depends on how uptight the other people are. I think pickleball when high would be a hoot.
speaker-1 (15:23.118)
It's a-
speaker-1 (15:27.704)
That's true, I guess.
Pickleball went high would be a hoot, she says. Okay. I was thinking the other day, I couldn't tell you the last time I ran. Like, I know the court's small, but I'd be.
speaker-0 (15:35.468)
Yep, we should try it.
speaker-0 (15:43.636)
I know. I got on the elliptical the other day and I was like, I didn't even set it on a setting. It was just on the you know the easiest thing. I was exhausted after fifteen minutes. I pushed myself to seventeen, but and I realize I I had the same realization. I when was the last time I actually ran?
speaker-1 (15:57.803)
I know.
speaker-1 (16:04.142)
Oh, oh, oh, that would not be a funny thing to even try to reproduce.
speaker-0 (16:07.783)
No, I remember last time I tried to swim at the Cape, trying to lug that island in.
speaker-1 (16:14.09)
I would not call that swimming. Not when you're, you know, trying to grab something and haul something in. Yeah, we weren't doing sw- we would not have made it on the Uri Canal, that's for sure. I got a mule. Who's so? I started singing that for my grandchildren and they didn't know what the hell I was talking about.
speaker-0 (16:21.302)
Large and lived in that
speaker-0 (16:33.326)
Don't they do Americana songs?
speaker-1 (16:36.168)
and I was also singing Señor Delgado.
speaker-0 (16:38.958)
I love that song. My my children know it too. We all too. Dangato.
speaker-1 (16:42.636)
I mean, you know, I just annoy them. Yes. What else is new, right?
speaker-0 (16:48.632)

Hell's dropping very soon, Queen!
speaker-0 (17:42.912)
Me and TT have an hour and it's gonna change the tune. This has been a public service women you be paying attention is all for
speaker-1 (17:45.454)
You
speaker-1 (18:04.957)
So TT, we have some news to share with our... exciting news. think it's very very very exciting news. Tell us TT, what is our news?
speaker-0 (18:09.326)
Something new.
speaker-0 (18:18.702)
This is just for that soft handoff.
speaker-1 (18:22.562)
You didn't think that was a soft hand dog? BAM! Now if anybody ever wondered if we were scripted or not, there's your answer.
speaker-0 (18:34.744)
We could use it together enough to get anything scripted.
speaker-1 (18:38.702)
No, yeah, right that would require planning so and and you know, whatever I think you know TT and I've been talking quite a bit We've had a blast doing the podcast and we love doing the podcast We love our audience who just love what we're doing but it's been a little frustrating for us because because of our subject matter we have been essentially shadow banned on various social media channels, so that really restricts
who finds us, how people are able to find us, all the above. We've kind of plateaued with our listenership, not that we don't make a cent, we haven't made a penny with this podcast, but it would be nice to see a little growth here and there. we've made the decision to rebrand the podcast. Is that an adequate, description? We're stopping the podcast, but we're going to.
We're still going to have our podcast, but we're not going to be focusing on cannabis as much. We're going to take cannabis out of the equation because as you know, as you well know, our country in the world hasn't really decided how they're going to treat this plant yet. And nobody has caught up with what's real. So it's still being treated as a bad, bad thing and a narcotic and et cetera, cetera, an evil plant. yeah, it's really impaired our ability to share.
and be heard.
speaker-0 (20:08.287)
Yes, yes. We we we love doing this. And we're just the shift really is going to be not completely away from cannabis because you know we're still gonna indulge. Yes. However, that's not gonna be the main focus. We our listeners have told us that they really enjoy when we just kind of are friends together and are silly together and you know, kind of back and forth and talk about life. Yeah. So
speaker-1 (20:32.002)
about life.
speaker-0 (20:36.482)
We're gonna focus more on what's it like when you get to be a a a woman of middle years and and on and you know, how how how life has changed and how we can get through the changes together.
speaker-1 (20:51.118)
How different is this than what we were sold? think, you know, we were told a certain story, weren't we?
speaker-0 (20:59.394)
Yes, yes a fairy tale.
speaker-1 (21:01.644)
fairy tale we've told a fairy tale and I think it's taken a bit of time but I think over the course of time we've realized that wow like the story doesn't seem to be going in the direction that we had anticipated or we're told it was
speaker-0 (21:17.454)
Well, I I think it's because in our even with our parents, our mothers grew up never being able to talk about any female function of the body at all. Right? I mean and so when that happens
speaker-1 (21:35.722)
A of women that age didn't have any autonomy either. My mother was a weirdo because she worked. I felt weird in school because my mother worked and she worked part time. She worked two days a week. It was.
speaker-0 (21:46.52)
Yep, yep. But it was not Roman.
speaker-1 (21:50.814)
done. Especially when we were in elementary school, think, you know, as we got into high school, things started changing a little bit because we'd gone through a recession in the 70s, if you recall the gas crisis. I mean, things started to shit the bed and I think more women had to go to work at that point. Yeah. But it was a much different world. They're not like old women now.
speaker-0 (22:10.786)
Right. And I think we do we are No, it was I'm just
speaker-1 (22:17.614)
I decide what we are. TT tried to tell me that we weren't midlife. We had moved on.
speaker-0 (22:23.904)
I I hated to break the news to her. She was very upset. She
speaker-1 (22:27.79)
I did push back. I almost sent you an article I read yesterday. It was an actress talking about how she was coming into her own during her midlife and she was 53 or something.
speaker-0 (22:43.946)
Okay. Fifty three is still fifteen years old.
speaker-1 (22:46.686)
You're just not gonna let this go, you?
speaker-0 (22:49.378)
Just saying. Just putting the numbers out there.
speaker-1 (22:53.11)
Okay, I guess. Are you getting some weird satisfaction from dashing my weird perceptions of self? Wake up, shithead! You're not midlife anymore! You're old! No! I don't feel old! No.
speaker-0 (23:03.864)
You're old.
No. Well, okay. We're midland. I don't know. I we are I always think of middle age as like fifties, fifties, you know. And then after you hit retirement age at sixty five, then you're old. Well.
speaker-1 (23:23.662)
That's what we were told.
speaker-0 (23:26.117)
that's that's what we knew. That's what we that's so that's where my where my thoughts come from, you know? I'm retired, so I must be old.
speaker-1 (23:32.782)
There you go. Well, that's not the case. So I think, you know, we're just, we're just going to keep on keeping on like we've been doing, but we are going to change the name of the podcast. Tee Tee, what is the name of the podcast going to be?
speaker-0 (23:45.282)
The name will be pleasantly confused. We think that pretty much sums it up. This time of life with family stuff and grandchildren, children. Yeah. Yeah.
speaker-1 (23:59.714)
like friends, relations, your house, downsizing, do you downsize?
speaker-0 (24:07.53)
Up to While you're still working full time, dealing with kids
speaker-1 (24:14.126)
I read an article just a few moments ago that indicated, guess what the ideal size has been determined for folks who have downsized? What is the ideal square footage for a couple who is downsizing? 800. I said 1200. But yeah, it just goes to show you, you don't need a lot of room.
speaker-0 (24:27.436)
Fifteen hundred.
speaker-0 (24:34.284)
Yeah. Yeah. Well there's tiny houses now. The other thing you can't do is buy, buy, buy, buy more stuff. You can't keep accumulating because there's no place to put it. Replace something, but
speaker-1 (24:36.642)
You're to maintain.
speaker-1 (24:46.476)
Right, here's the other thing. Tell ourselves we don't need it.
speaker-0 (24:52.376)
Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Right. We got this. We don't need that. Yeah.
speaker-1 (24:54.392)
Like
So, you know, but I just, I think, you know, smaller 800 square feet is not a tiny house either. That's not considered a tiny house. Tiny house is more like a 400. Three, three, four, like a day's cottage. Those are about 400 square feet.
speaker-0 (25:11.11)
wow.
speaker-0 (25:15.998)
Okay. So I think they're like six hundred, aren't they? I don't know, whatever.
speaker-1 (25:20.11)
There's a small cottage in Truro. It's like nine by 10 or something. One bedroom, blah, blah, $300,000. It's a cross. It was in White's, White's Cottages. So it's a real little, it looks, literally looks like an outhouse. So just to button this all up. to recap.
speaker-0 (25:30.188)
Is it on the beach?
speaker-0 (25:35.281)
yeah. Yeah. So
speaker-0 (25:42.22)
Recap.
speaker-1 (25:46.636)
We'll be rolling out the new name by the first of July-ish that first week. We've got some work to do to make this happen, but it's not going to change anything for anybody who's subscribed to us. We're not changing the feed or anything else. We're just changing the name, shifting the focus just a tad, not a lot, but we just, we, yeah, we've tried for four years to skirt around and we, we were very thankful for the folks who've stuck with us and have found us and, but.
Yeah, it's been a little frustrating on that prompt. So bigger and better things await.
speaker-0 (26:20.494)
Yes, yes, yes, as you will still hear Queenie and T T we will still be using cannabis.
speaker-1 (26:24.262)
yes.
Yes, we will. Absolutely.
speaker-0 (26:29.208)
Woke up this morning, starting my routine. Coffee's nice, but nicer with some good old green. Gummy bears dancing, brownies in a tray. My buttenders asking, What you had today? What have you consumed today? Gummy or O and J. Did you vape it, dab it, or roll your own way? Tell me what can you consume today?
speaker-1 (27:08.366)
Speaking of which, T.T., have you consumed today?
speaker-0 (27:11.726)
I did I had a hummie. Hummies? One of a hummies.
speaker-1 (27:14.24)
Ahami.
One of that a hummie? A hummie. I have been smoking a pre-roll joint. I'm still very much using a Ghost. Ghost. Ghost. This is very nice brand. Nice. They've been on sale, which is nice. But it's a Triangle Kush in Indica.
speaker-0 (27:36.162)
Those indicas are so nice.
speaker-1 (27:38.658)
Yes. And it helps with my footy. With my foots, my feet.
speaker-0 (27:46.156)
Yeah.
speaker-1 (27:48.009)
Pain, my psychic pain.
speaker-0 (27:52.942)
The Onahoor.
speaker-1 (27:53.294)
Peace. Wah. My D- This. That. Skinny.
speaker-0 (28:00.31)
No
speaker-1 (28:03.788)
Titi, are you ready to play Titi's Choice?
speaker-0 (28:07.274)
I'm ready.
speaker-1 (28:08.782)
She's ready, folks. So, to recap, TT is going to be presented with a statement of an either or, would you rather or what if question statement, whatever you want to call it, phrase, and utterance. You have to tell us what your response is to said utterance and why. And TT's been selecting numbers one through 75, and we've been ticking these off one by one. What is your number going to be this week, TT?
speaker-0 (28:35.64)
About how about forty eight.
speaker-1 (28:37.358)
48 let's take a lucky pool. Okay, okay. This is kind of in line with kind of sort of what we've been talking about. Would you rather your funniest episode ever got zero downloads or your worst episode went viral?
speaker-0 (28:54.85)
I don't like either of those scenarios. So, but I have to pick one, I know. So I'm gonna say I would rather I guess I'd rather have the hits of the worst show.
speaker-1 (28:58.318)
Okay.
speaker-1 (29:08.824)
so you'd rather have your worst episode going viral. Why did you choose that option? Curious.
speaker-0 (29:15.094)
You know, it was hard because on one hand, if it's a it dip I guess it part of it would be dependent on how bad it was. If it was really awful, then I wouldn't want it to be go viral. But if it was just like one of the worst, you know, our worst episode's still pretty good, you know? So I'd be okay with that. But Yeah. Okay.
speaker-1 (29:35.278)
I swear she just lost it. She did, she just lost it.
speaker-0 (29:42.742)
It went away. It went away.
speaker-1 (29:44.974)
The whole rich- that was just in the middle. Bye!
speaker-0 (29:48.27)
my goodness, this brain stuff is f frustrating. Well, it's my brain, I mean.
speaker-1 (29:52.27)
Blame it on the brains.
speaker-1 (29:58.22)
has nothing to do with cannabis.
speaker-0 (30:00.14)
No. Well, it's affecting my brain.
speaker-1 (30:02.904)
Well, yes, but don't blame your brain.
speaker-0 (30:06.018)
That's the point. Well yes, you're sa so you're saying it's my fault that I guess.
speaker-1 (30:11.032)
Yes, yes, yes, that's it. It's all your fault. Don't blame it on your br- it's you! Blame it on the cannabis! What's my point? Jesus. You're making me into a demon.
speaker-0 (30:14.235)
I can't blame it on my brain. All right.
speaker-0 (30:27.544)
Yay. I'm supposed to answer a question.
speaker-1 (30:30.03)
Right? Yes, yep, yep. That's where we're headed.
speaker-0 (30:34.776)
make my choice. Okay. I'd rather have because then I would think that I would rather have it go viral because then people will be exposed and maybe want more. Give me popularity points for a little while.
speaker-1 (30:44.888)
There you go.
Popularity points, there you go, folks.
speaker-0 (30:51.766)
Yep. How about you? It's it sounds as though you may have choose chosen the other options.
speaker-1 (30:57.294)
I choose I did choose the other option Well because I feel we do that all the time Half of what we do is to just entertain ourselves. So that wouldn't you know having nobody else know it is nothing If you think you've seen one third of what we've recorded or heard one third of what we recorded over the past four years you're got another thing coming
speaker-0 (31:02.125)
You did.
speaker-0 (31:27.223)
Well
speaker-1 (31:28.174)
No, I can't know but I certainly can see your point too. can say You know there certainly is an argument to be made for as she's pointed out becoming viral because then the hope is that people would then stay and try to learn more and Perhaps just stay for the rest of the ride, right? No, I think that that's a perfectly legitimate way to look at it I don't think one is right and one is wrong. Yeah, it's just even though you keep saying right, correct
speaker-0 (31:53.218)
Right.
Come on down.
speaker-1 (31:57.518)
So I know I do I think there are there are definite benefits to our
speaker-0 (32:01.356)
Can see either way too. Yeah. Well that
speaker-1 (32:03.438)
That's part of my lifelong problem. I This is me waffle waffle waffle. Yeah, put me on a jury. Yeah
speaker-0 (32:08.512)
well I don't put that again. I look I have like I have no convictions whatsoever, but I do, I do.
speaker-1 (32:18.752)
Easily swayed. That does sound like it makes sense. That's a good point. I didn't think of it that way. Yeah, that's bad. Yeah. But at least we pick a lane and pretty much stay in it.
speaker-0 (32:33.142)
Okay, well that was that was a good question. it's on heady too profound what feels so wrong.
speaker-1 (32:35.534)
That was a good question.
speaker-1 (32:46.452)

speaker-0 (33:22.19)
And TV Z.
speaker-1 (33:22.574)
The bucket list!
speaker-1 (33:32.686)
So T.T., are we ready to add to the fuck it list?
speaker-0 (33:35.646)
Yes, yes, yes, yes. I have one that I think is gonna resonate. Tell me if it's not. Well, I think that I'm saying fuck it to feeling like I have to win people over if there's some sort of a disagreement or, you know, I want them to see my reasoning. I want them to know I'm a nice person and you know, whatever. Blah blah blah, blah, blah. And
speaker-1 (33:41.56)
Do tell, do tell.
speaker-0 (34:04.886)
Instead of doing that, just stand by what you said what I say and you know
speaker-1 (34:09.581)
except that not everybody has to or will agree.
speaker-0 (34:13.804)
Or like or I think I'm I think I I don't mind disagreement as much as I mind being disliked, you know, because I wanna plead my case. How could you possibly you know what I mean? 'Cause we the way we were raised was you have to be nice. You have to have that is our job, a female's job is to be nice. So
speaker-1 (34:33.302)
Anyway, hospitable.
speaker-0 (34:35.661)
So I'm saying fuck it, you know. Being nice. No, just to just to trying to explain myself all the time or feeling like I need to defend myself through some sort of explanation for why I think and feel the way I do when I it's just like who cares? You know? Right. That's the point. Nobody cares. So I don't need to I don't need to explain myself. Nobody nobody cares.
speaker-1 (35:00.746)
So is it fuck it I don't need to be liked all the time or is it fuck it I don't fuck it
speaker-0 (35:06.54)
That's it. I guess at the root of it that's it, yeah.
speaker-1 (35:09.378)
you're okay with disagreement and with people not sharing your point of view. Now, are you able to then treat people with respect?
speaker-0 (35:20.055)
Probably not. Well, it depends. It depends on the subject matter, frankly. Yeah. There are things that some people say and I think you are a total asshole.
speaker-1 (35:29.282)
Do that might affect the quality of the relationship? Just wondering. I know things have gotten a little, you know, loose socially. I don't know. Well, I think it's a point well taken because as you said, we were brought up to please. We were people pleasers. Always been people pleasers. Women have fallen into that role. We're called upon to make sure that everybody else is taken care of. And if there's anything left over.
It's like, did you see this, did you ever see the Saturday Night Live skit? And I think it was Kristen Wiig. She was the mother on Christmas and she made sure everybody had all these beautiful gifts. She was given like a robe and that was it. I got a robe. I like, yeah.
speaker-0 (36:12.579)
Yeah.
speaker-0 (36:16.906)
I sort of had an experience like that because one year 'cause I always fill the stockings. One year I handed out the stockings to everybody or no, I think Charlie handed them out. And he picked mine up and there was nothing in it. And he said and no one got anything for mom. It was sad. I did feel a little sad, I have to tell you. After being up all night, you know, filling stockings, wrapping presents, you know, the whole thing.
speaker-1 (36:39.832)
That is sad. Wow.
speaker-0 (36:47.35)
Mm-hmm. Small children, so that responsibility fell somewhere else, if you know what I mean.
speaker-1 (36:54.112)
Yes. Yes, I do. Yes. But not to make any excuses. The expectations were never there. That was never slotted in to be a thought. Yeah. Or something that should be thought about because it wasn't in their purview. So hopefully we're seeing more change.
speaker-0 (36:56.28)
Thank you.
speaker-0 (37:11.79)
Well well there are certain people who want us to go back to that, you know. Not having credit cards and not you know, I mean.
speaker-1 (37:15.63)
my god. Yeah, I know.
speaker-1 (37:20.29)
Working outside of the home. Not having to vote. Things like that.
speaker-0 (37:24.674)
Yeah, let's go back to the good old days, huh? That's somebody if I talked to that person, I would have a hard time respecting them. I'm sorry, I just would, you know.
speaker-1 (37:26.872)
Well, the one thing-
speaker-1 (37:35.584)
Now, now, I'm with you there. I can't imagine, I just can't imagine being in a situation where I'd, that person would be in my social circle. It would to be an event that,
speaker-0 (37:45.302)
I can't either, but you know. So it's or yeah, yeah, yeah. You hear someone.
speaker-1 (37:53.058)
Like a reunion. We better get ready. You know what I mean, Bean?
speaker-0 (37:55.886)
Yes.
Well, I'm not keeping my mouth shut. I will speak my peace, you know.
speaker-1 (38:03.544)
Well, I think we're gonna probably post something declaring, you know, neutral zone. Neutral zone.
speaker-0 (38:09.214)
So do not talk politics.
speaker-1 (38:12.277)
religion, none of that shit, just leave it at the door. We're here to talk about 1976 and that's it! And the years leading up to it!

You can't talk about religion or politics in nineteen seventy-six either. No. It was Vietnam.

speaker-0 (38:40.374)
Why?
speaker-0 (38:48.782)
One of our fri one of the couples in our dinner group moved to Iowa several years ago and so we s we're continuing our rotation so they're twice a year and they come up here the rest of the time. Nice.
speaker-1 (39:02.892)
Very nice. Very, very nice.
speaker-0 (39:05.068)
So with that and what else? I know there's something else. we're gonna be watching maybe tonight might be the end of the basketball, but hopefully the Knicks will win. Yay!
